How to Make Money with Blogger
A lot of people will tell you that blogging, or writing on the Internet in general, isn’t a viable way to make money. This simply isn’t true; while it may not be easy, it’s certainly possible to earn money through blogging. This guide gives you tips and tricks to help you make the most of your hard work, allowing you to turn your hobby into something that brings you joy as well as income. Let’s dive in!
Build an email list
Building an email list is key to making money blogging. When you have a solid group of people who are interested in your products, business or services, you’ll be able to offer them exclusive deals and stay top-of-mind when it comes time for them to purchase. Start by creating an opt-in box on your home page. Next, ask every person who comments on your posts if they’d like to sign up for more information via email. Give away a freebie (eBook, eCourse, checklist, etc.) as an incentive. Just be sure that whatever you offer has value; if not enough people will want it in exchange for their email address, then its utility isn’t worth it.

Network With Brands
Once you’ve got a following, seek out brands that align with your niche. Look for brands in your niche that have already worked with bloggers (ie. Optimize your site for earning affiliate commissions
There are many ways to make money from your website, but affiliate marketing is one of my favorites because it’s straightforward. You partner with brands you trust or like and whenever a visitor clicks through your content, buys something, or signs up for a service, you get paid. Because of affiliate marketing—not only can bloggers make money—but businesses can too! It’s an industry that is truly win-win.

Monetize Your Site’s Traffic
The first step in figuring out how to make money with blogger is figuring out what your site is worth. In most cases, it will be easier to determine how much traffic you have on your site than how much money that traffic can be worth. However, we’ll get into more details on monetizing your site’s traffic later in this guide; for now, just note that it’s critical that you understand who will be using your site (and, therefore, how valuable that use is) before getting started. Traffic alone doesn’t necessarily mean anything financially—you need targeted visitors who are looking for information like yours. Once you’ve figured out how much potential value your audience can add for you, setting up a plan for maximizing those earnings should be easier.

Put Up Affiliate Links Only If They Benefit The Readers
Don’t put affiliate links on your website unless you know they will benefit your readers. For example, let’s say that you have a camera on your site. You get a lot of traffic, so you decide to put an affiliate link on your page that takes people to Amazon if they click through. You make 5% commission on anything that is sold from that page. But only 1% of visitors actually buy something from Amazon from that page! That means for every 1,000 clicks on that link, you might earn $50 in commission but have wasted $1,000 of time because 999 out of 1,000 people who clicked through didn’t purchase anything!
Avoid Being Over-Affiliate
Have you heard of affiliate marketing? It’s one of my favorite ways to make money from a website. An affiliate link is a link that earns you a commission when someone clicks on it or purchases something through it. Just think about how many affiliate links are on your favorite news sites, for example. You might not even notice them anymore—that’s how much they’re part of our everyday life! The great thing about being an affiliate marketer is that you can make money in so many different ways. Do you enjoy reviewing products? Then why not join an Amazon Associates program?
